About the role

Program Overview

  • Interns learn about seven types of risk: strategic, market, credit, compliance, liquidity, operational, reputational.
  • Program includes on-the-job support, networking, mentorship, and educational events.
  • Focus on building technical skills, industry knowledge, and corporate environment familiarity.
  • Intern team assignments based on business needs and skillsets, not guaranteed.

Risk Types Exposure

  • Strategic risk: risks from business plans, strategy execution, and external/internal factors.
  • Market risk: risks from changes in market conditions affecting asset/liability values.
  • Credit risk: risk of loss from borrower or counterparty default.
  • Compliance risk: risk of legal/regulatory sanctions or reputational damage from non-compliance.
  • Liquidity risk: risk of inability to meet cash flow and collateral needs.
  • Operational risk: risk from failed processes, systems, people, or external events.

Additional Risk Type

  • Reputational risk: risk that negative perception impacts profitability or operations.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or accelerated degree student with graduation Nov 2027 - Aug 2028.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Relevant fields include risk management, finance, engineering, economics, data science, and related.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, communication, and professionalism.
  • High intellectual curiosity, operational excellence drive, and commitment to sustainable results.
  • No visa sponsorship available; third-party forms not completed.
