Corporate Audit Analyst Program - 2027

About the role

The Corporate Audit Analyst Program offers summer interns in Charlotte exposure to internal audit engagements, risk management frameworks, control testing, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools. Analysts collaborate with audit professionals across bank businesses, develop professional skills, and support assessments of risks, controls, processes, and improvement opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and control gaps across bank activities.
• Execute audit testing and document results according to Corporate Audit methodology.
• Collaborate with audit teams and business partners on engagements and special projects.
• Assess risks, evaluate controls, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Build knowledge of business processes, risk management protocols, and control environments.
• Participate in Corporate Audit initiatives, events, and continuous learning opportunities.

Program Exposure

• Support audit activities across banking, markets, operations, finance, risk, and corporate functions.
• Potential areas include Business Banking, Global Markets, Global Operations, Merrill, and Retail Banking.
• Assignments reflect business needs and individual skillsets, with Charlotte as the primary location.
• Gain a broad understanding of bank operations, risk landscape, and control environment.
• Use data analytics and AI-enabled tools during real audit engagements.
• Participate in philanthropic volunteer activities and establish professional relationships.

Requirements

• Pursue an undergraduate or accelerated 4+1 degree at an accredited college or university.
• Have a final graduation date between November 2026 and August 2027.
• Understand technology, general controls, and control environments.
• Demonstrate interest in internal audit, risk management, or financial services.
• Bring strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, initiative, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred majors include Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, and Economics.
• Minimum preferred GPA is 3.5.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, or other data tools is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
• Candidates must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future for this role.
