Global Markets Sales and Trading 2027 Off-Cycle Analyst - Milan

About the role

A 3–6-month Global Markets off-cycle internship in Milan, providing exposure to a single Sales and Trading desk across sales, trading, and structuring. You will support client and market activities, analyse data and events, contribute to projects, and receive formal training, mentoring, and on-the-job development.

Programme

• Work on a single Sales and Trading desk in a fast-paced environment with manager, buddy, mentor, and HR support.
• Receive formal training at programme start, plus on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship.
• Potentially receive a full-time offer beginning in July 2028, with some businesses offering January or April starts.

Responsibilities

• Support sales teams with client relationship management, marketing materials, presentations, lead generation, and profitability analysis.
• Support traders, analyse client and market data, and learn market making and risk management through shadowing and mock trading.
• Monitor macroeconomic, company-specific, market, and industry events in real time and assess their potential outcomes.
• Support structurers, traders, and sales teams with pitchbooks, client solutions, transaction analysis, pricing, and risk management.
• Deliver analytical projects across equities, rates, foreign exchange, and credit, collaborating with quants, research, and other stakeholders.
• Develop solutions for institutional clients while gaining front-to-back exposure to Global Markets transactions.

Eligibility and Skills

• Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited institution, completing all requirements between September 2027 and July 2028.
• Expected to achieve at least a 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in financial markets, drive, innovation, accountability, productivity, and analytical problem-solving ability.
• Show teamwork, leadership, creativity, communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and decision-influencing skills in fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, honesty, and the ability to build trust and promote cooperation.
• Programming or software abilities and language skills are advantageous for certain roles.
