Join BAM's Consumer Equity Long/Short team as a Data Engineer in New York. Develop and maintain data infrastructure to support investment research and decision-making, collaborating closely with portfolio managers and analysts.

Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy cloud data pipelines supporting investment research and analytics.
- Create data models and infrastructure for diverse market and alternative datasets.
- Design services and plugins to enhance the investment data platform.
- Maintain alerting systems for critical dataset operations.
- Author tests to validate data quality and platform stability.

Additional Responsibilities
- Document and maintain internal data management policies and processes.
- Work with portfolio managers and analysts to understand data needs.
- Monitor data collection, quality, and cleansing infrastructure.
- Explore improvements for data evaluation and integrity.
- Identify and report data-related issues to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's in data science, computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Proficient in SQL and Python; Pandas experience is a plus.
- Experience in data wrangling, cleaning, and application deployment.
- Knowledge of data architectures, modeling, and database design.
- Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with ETL tools and data ingestion techniques.
- Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of financial instruments and market data.
- Experience with AWS, Visual Studio, Snowflake, GitHub, Airflow, Jenkins, and PowerBI.
