About the role
Credit Analyst role supporting a portfolio manager and traders within a multi-manager, multi-strategy hedge fund platform. The analyst will research Investment Grade credit, build models, assess capital structures and covenants, and generate differentiated long/short ideas while contributing to trading, portfolio monitoring, risk decisions, and performance review.
Responsibilities
- Develop and present differentiated long/short Investment Grade credit ideas, focusing on selection and risk-reward assessment.
- Conduct fundamental and market research on assigned companies, industries, and sectors.
- Build financial models, analyze capital structures, and evaluate bond covenants and legal documentation.
- Monitor market trends, earnings, and credit events affecting portfolio positions.
- Debate investment theses and market views with team members, supporting trading and risk management decisions.
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and performance reviews as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Bring at least three years of direct credit research or trading experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze, value, and generate actionable Investment Grade credit ideas.
- Have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, financial modeling, and credit analysis capabilities.
- Communicate complex trade ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Work independently in a dynamic, collaborative, team-based trading environment.
