About the role

Summer internship in Aalborg supporting physical commodities trading through quantitative tools, models, applications, data analysis, and visualizations. The intern will use Python, collaborate with traders and analysts, translate business needs into technical solutions, and gain hands-on experience through mentorship and early responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement quantitative tools and models supporting the physical commodities investment team.
  • Collaborate with traders, analysts, and colleagues to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and scale tools and applications using Python.
  • Conduct data analysis and create visualizations supporting model development and trading processes.
  • Document code, processes, and methodologies to support knowledge sharing and future development.
  • Build data visualizations and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
  • Student candidates must graduate in winter 2027 or spring 2028.
  • Strong Python programming skills for data analysis and testing ideas and models.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools and libraries.
  • Passion and interest in a career in trading, analytics, or energy.
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic, proactive attitude, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
