About the role
This year-round IT Data & Analytics internship offers hands-on experience supporting data solutions, analytics, integration, testing, visualization, and delivery. Interns collaborate in team meetings, solve business data problems, explore approved AI capabilities, and learn through mentorship. The hybrid role is based in Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin, beginning June 2027.
Responsibilities
- Support data analytics, profiling, modeling, visualization, testing, integration, and delivery.
- Participate in team stand-ups, sprint planning, and stakeholder meetings.
- Help transform business questions into delivered insights and data solutions.
- Explore approved AI capabilities in daily work and projects.
- Assist with solving critical business data problems that support decisions.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid schedule includes three office days and two remote days weekly.
- Work from Baird’s downtown Milwaukee or downtown Madison office.
- Work full time during summer, 37.5–40 hours weekly, and part time during semesters, 15–20 hours weekly.
- Must be a local student available to start in June 2027.
Program Experience

- Gain practical experience through hands-on projects in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, computer science, business analytics, information systems, or related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Experience with data analysis, profiling, modeling, visualization, testing, integration, and delivery.
- Completed coursework or experience with SQL, SSIS, Python, Snowflake, Fabric, cloud data AI tools, or ETL development tools.
- Demonstrate curiosity about using technology and data to solve business problems.
- Show strong organization, attention to detail, communication, motivation, proactivity, and ability to manage priorities.
