About the role

This year-round IT Business Analyst internship offers hands-on experience translating business needs into technology solutions. Interns support requirements analysis, process improvement, project delivery, QA testing, and data interpretation while working hybrid in Milwaukee or Madison. Full-time summer and part-time semester schedules are required, with a June 2027 start.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements through interviews, workflow analysis, workshops, and surveys to develop business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Support discovery activities by identifying stakeholders, clarifying objectives, and defining success measures for complex initiatives.
  • Analyze processes to create user guides, process specifications, models, custom solutions, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, and product owners on process improvement, client experience, and risk mitigation.
  • Execute data analysis approaches and interpret data visualizations and diagrams.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance teams to define and execute testing strategies.

Work Arrangement

  • Work three days weekly in the downtown Milwaukee or Madison office and two days remotely.
  • Work full time during summer, at 37.5–40 hours weekly.
  • Work part time during school semesters, at 15–20 hours weekly.

Program Development

  • Gain practical experience through hands-on projects, mentorship, professional development, networking, and firmwide events.
  • Receive shadowing and mentorship from experienced team members and leaders while learning agile and other delivery methodologies.

Requirements

  • Pursue an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in technology, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Have an anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
  • Be a local student able to start in June 2027 and work the required hybrid schedule.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving ability, organization, attention to detail, and effective priority management.
  • Currently or in the future, do not require employment visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
