Internship – Baird Trust Equity Research Analyst (Summer 2027)

About the role

Summer 2027 equity research internship with Baird Trust’s Investment Management team in Louisville. Interns will research companies, industries, stocks, and portfolio ideas; use FactSet and Microsoft tools; participate in meetings; present findings; and complete a stock write-up and investment pitch while gaining mentorship and professional development experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in research projects directed by equity analysts and portfolio managers.
• Research stocks, companies, industries, portfolio holdings, and watch-list opportunities.
• Use FactSet data to create or supplement company and portfolio analysis.
• Present investment findings, discuss investment theses, and pitch a completed stock write-up.
• Prepare for and potentially participate in company meetings, analyst meetings, and conference calls.

Requirements

• Pursue a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or another quantitative discipline.
• Have an anticipated graduation date of May 2029.
• Demonstrate curiosity about businesses, the stock market, and investing.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with professionalism, maturity, and sound judgment.
• Manage multiple tasks independently while remaining organized, detail-oriented, and receptive to direction.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiently; FactSet knowledge is advantageous.

Program Details

• Work full time during summer 2027, 37.5–40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
• Start date is expected in June 2027.
• Baird’s intern program includes hands-on projects, mentorship, networking, and professional development.
• The position does not currently support individuals requiring employment visa sponsorship now or later.
