Internship - Commissions & Advisory Billing (Year-Round)

About the role

Join Baird's Operations team as a Commissions & Advisory Billing intern, supporting advisory and brokerage businesses by processing commission statements and assisting advisors. This role offers hands-on experience with operational systems and process automation in a collaborative environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with processing commission statements accurately and timely.
• Use technology tools to build process automation and improve commission processes.
• Work with financial services operational systems and technology.
• Participate in daily team meetings and collaborate across the firm.
• Provide efficient customer service in a team-oriented environment.
• Receive mentoring and training throughout the internship.

Candidate Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, finance, analytics, economics, IT management, or related field.
• Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Interest in coding (SQL, VBA) and visualization tools (PowerBI) is a plus.

Program Details

• Full-time summer work: 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
• Part-time during school semesters: 15-20 hours per week.
• Location: Downtown Louisville, KY office.
• Start date: January 2027 or earlier.
• Local student preferred.
• Includes hands-on projects, mentorship, and professional development events.
