Internship – Graphic Design (Year-Round)

About the role

Year-round graphic design internship with Baird’s in-house creative team in Milwaukee. The intern will support print, digital, web, video and photography projects, applying brand guidelines and design skills from concept through production. The hybrid schedule combines summer full-time work with part-time hours during school semesters.

Responsibilities

• Support print and digital production, concept brainstorming, project meetings and design revisions.
• Contribute to print design through artwork changes, layouts and visual design.
• Apply Baird’s brand guidelines consistently across design projects and communications.
• Prepare appropriate files for external vendors and assist with web-based project needs.

Schedule and Work Arrangement

• Work two days weekly in Baird’s downtown Milwaukee office and three days remotely.
• Work 37.5–40 hours weekly during summer and 15–20 hours during school semesters.
• Must be a local student able to start in May 2027.

Requirements

• Pursue a degree in art, graphic design or visual communications, graduating May 2028 or later.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop using a Mac environment.
• Bring proven design and typographical skills, plus a solid portfolio demonstrating relevant abilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Manage multiple priorities with strong organization, attention to detail and timely delivery.
• Demonstrate motivation, proactivity, strategic thinking, advanced Microsoft Office knowledge and commitment to learning.

• Work within a collaborative culture alongside leaders and the broader organization.
