About the role

Year-round hybrid internship supporting Baird’s Digital Marketing & Technology team across website, email, social media, digital advertising, and intranet channels. The role offers hands-on experience with enterprise marketing technology, content management, and analytics. Candidates must be local, start in May 2027, work full time during summer, and part time during semesters.

Responsibilities

  • Support digital marketing projects across website, email marketing, social media, and other key channels.
  • Use the content management system to make timely updates to Baird’s corporate website.
  • Generate and analyze web and digital marketing analytics reports.
  • Support email marketing platforms and enterprise social media publishing tools.
  • Assist with page creation and content management for Baird’s intranet.
  • Gain exposure to digital marketing activities and enterprise-level marketing technology suites.

Work Arrangement

  • Work four days weekly in Baird’s downtown Milwaukee office and one day remotely.
  • Work full time during summer, approximately 37.5–40 hours per week.
  • Work part time during school semesters, approximately 15–20 hours per week.
  • Must be a local student able to start in May 2027.

Intern Program

  • Receive hands-on project experience, mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to connect with leaders.
  • Participate in the Intern Welcome, Baird Gives Back Day, firmwide networking, and other events.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or business administration.
  • Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
  • Completed coursework in digital marketing, marketing communications, online marketing, web programming, or digital advertising.
  • Experience building, managing, or updating websites using a content management tool.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a clear, professional approach.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Prior experience with email marketing or social media management is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Looker Data Studio is a plus.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, motivation, proactivity, and strategic thinking.
  • Commitment to learning, timely delivery, and excellent service to clients and associates.
