About the role

Baird’s 10-week Summer 2027 Investment Banking Associate Internship offers first-year MBA candidates hands-on transaction experience in Chicago or Milwaukee. Interns support equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory engagements while preparing valuations, models, presentations, and research alongside senior bankers and clients. Full-time summer availability and significant hours are required.

Responsibilities

  • Support public equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial advisory services for clients.
  • Prepare company valuations, financial models, client presentations, and industry research and analysis.
  • Work closely with senior bankers and client senior management across varied transactions and industries.

Program Details

  • The Summer 2027 internship lasts 10 weeks and is based in Chicago or Milwaukee.
  • Interns must be available to work full time during the summer, with significant hours required.
  • The program provides hands-on deal experience and exposure to senior bankers, clients, and varied transactions.

Requirements

  • First-year MBA candidate graduating in winter 2027 or spring 2028.
  • Three to five years of work experience are required.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical ability, attention to detail, communication skills, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
  • Candidates must learn effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Baird is not currently hiring candidates who require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous exposure to investment banking or other areas of financial services is beneficial.
