Internship – Private Wealth Management (Minnetonka, MN Summer 2027)

About the role

Summer 2027 Private Wealth Management internship in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Interns support Financial Advisors through research, financial planning, client-meeting preparation, documentation, administrative work, and marketing initiatives. The full-time, Monday-to-Friday role offers practical exposure to wealth management, mentorship, networking, professional development, and a $20 hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Support Financial Advisors with projects, report reviews, research, and general project assistance.
• Prepare materials for client meetings and presentations.
• Assist with financial planning and market research.
• Handle administrative tasks, calls, basic client questions, paperwork, and documents.
• Contribute to branch marketing initiatives.

Program Details

• Work full time during summer 2027, 37.5–40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
• Work from Baird’s Minnetonka, Minnesota office, starting in June 2027.
• Participate in hands-on projects, mentorship, networking, events, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Pursue a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; finance or business preferred.
• Have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Demonstrate interest in financial services and pursuing private wealth management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and associates, verbally and in writing.
• Manage multiple priorities with strong organization, attention to detail, motivation, and proactivity.
• Candidates requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship are not eligible.
