About the role
Summer 2027 Private Wealth Management internship in Baird’s Columbus, Indiana office. Interns support Financial Advisors through research, client meeting preparation, financial planning, administrative tasks and marketing initiatives while gaining practical exposure, mentorship and professional development through Baird’s broader summer intern program.
Responsibilities
- Support Financial Advisors with projects, report reviews and research.
- Prepare materials for client meetings and presentations.
- Assist with financial planning and market research.
- Handle administrative tasks, calls and basic client questions.
- Contribute to branch marketing initiatives and process paperwork.
- Provide additional project support and complete other assigned duties.
Program Details
- Work full time during summer 2027, 37.5–40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
- Work from Baird’s Columbus, Indiana office, starting in June 2027.
- Participate in hands-on projects, mentorship, networking and professional development events.
- Intern program activities include an Intern Welcome and Baird Gives Back Day.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field is preferred.
- Anticipated graduation date must be December 2027 or later.
- Demonstrated interest in financial services and private wealth management careers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional client and associate interactions.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Motivation, proactivity, strategic thinking and commitment to learning and contributing effectively.
Additional Information
- Prior office experience is preferred.
- Baird is not currently hiring candidates who now or later require employment visa sponsorship.
