Internship - Private Asset Management, Client Services Team (Year-Round)

About the role

Year-round internship with Baird Private Asset Management’s Client Services Team in Milwaukee. The role supports investment consulting operations for institutional portfolios and ultra-high-net-worth families, providing exposure to research, fixed income, portfolio management, business development, client reporting, account maintenance, tax documentation, reconciliations, and investment operations.

Responsibilities

• Support client service, data, and operations teams with monthly and quarterly client performance reports.
• Assist with account setup, maintenance, client information updates, task management, and workflow processes.
• Complete corporate class action processes, including trade data compilation and signature submission coordination.
• Assist with tax documentation, required document compilation, and tax report generation.
• Reconcile incoming funds and process Automated Customer Account Transfers for new accounts.
• Attend team, operations, service, and biweekly Investment Committee meetings; support assigned projects.

Work Arrangement

• Work full time during summer, 37.5–40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
• Work part time during academic semesters, 15–20 hours weekly.
• Work from Baird’s downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin office as a local student.
• Start as soon as possible, with flexibility around academic commitments.

Intern Program

• Gain hands-on experience through projects, mentorship, professional development, and firmwide networking.
• Participate in the Intern Welcome, Baird Gives Back Day, and other intern events.
• Develop exposure to research, fixed income, portfolio management, and business development.
