Internship - Fixed Income Asset Management, Baird Advisors (Summer 2027)

About the role

Summer 2027 internship with Baird Advisors’ institutional fixed income asset management team in Milwaukee. The intern will support reporting, data quality, Bloomberg research, investment projects, and process improvements while learning from portfolio managers. This full-time, in-office opportunity runs Monday through Friday and suits a detail-oriented student interested in fixed income.

Responsibilities

• Support dynamic reporting needs using systems including Microsoft Excel.
• Work with portfolio managers to learn the team’s investment process.
• Research an investment topic using Bloomberg data and information.
• Present research findings to the investment team and answer questions.
• Monitor reports for data quality and accuracy; identify process improvements.
• Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned.

Team and Work Setting

• Baird Advisors manages fixed income strategies for institutional clients, pensions, foundations, and individuals.
• Strategies focus on investment-grade securities across taxable and municipal markets.
• The internship is based in Baird’s downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
• Interns work closely with experienced, nationally recognized fixed income asset managers.
