Internship - Accounting (Year-Round) - Fall 2026 Start
Baird offers a year-round accounting internship starting Fall 2026 in Milwaukee. Interns support financial reporting, budgeting, and operational tasks while gaining hands-on experience in corporate accounting and finance.

Role and Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly close process including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Compile financial data for internal and external reports.
- Support budgeting and prepare operational reports and presentations.
- Maintain and document accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform special projects and assist in training other interns.

Teams and Focus Areas
- Financial Reporting & Regulatory team manages monthly financial close and reporting.
- Baird Capital team supports venture capital and private equity investments.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Treasury teams.

Internship Details
- Located onsite in downtown Milwaukee office.
- Full-time summer work: 37.5-40 hours/week; part-time during school: 15-20 hours/week.
- Start date: October/November 2026.
- Seeking local students able to commit year-round.

Candidate Requirements
- Pursuing bachelor's or master's in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- Graduation date May 2028 or later.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement.
