Internship - Accounting/Finance (Year-Round)

About the role

Baird offers a year-round accounting/finance internship in Milwaukee, providing hands-on experience in financial reporting, payroll, and regulatory compliance. Interns work full-time in summer and part-time during semesters, contributing to financial processes and gaining professional skills.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly close process including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Compile financial data for internal and external reports.
• Support budgeting and prepare operational reports and presentations.
• Maintain and document accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in training other interns and perform special projects.
• Contribute to financial reporting and regulatory compliance tasks.

Internship Details

• Located onsite in downtown Milwaukee office.
• Full-time during summer (37.5-40 hours/week).
• Part-time during school semesters (15-20 hours/week).
• Start date as early as April/May 2027.
• Year-round internship opportunity.
• Work closely with Corporate Accounting & Finance teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Pursuing bachelor's or master's in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• Anticipated graduation date May 2028 or later.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
