About the role
Join Aquatic as a Software Engineering Intern to build high-performance distributed systems supporting research and trading infrastructure. Collaborate with engineers and quants to optimize low-latency, high-throughput platforms in a fast-paced environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Build and optimize distributed systems for research and trading infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers and quantitative researchers to design tools.
- Improve system reliability and performance for low-latency data processing.
- Directly impact live systems and research workflows.
- Learn software design and testing techniques like Refactoring and Test Driven Development.
Candidate Requirements
- Active student pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in relevant scientific disciplines.
- Expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Proficient in Python and/or C++ programming.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, systems, and computer architecture.
- Curious and motivated to improve system performance.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
