About the role

Austin-based summer internship with AB Private Credit Investors, AllianceBernstein’s private corporate credit platform. Interns receive finance-focused training, build corporate credit analysis, financial modeling, and valuation skills, and participate in loan origination, underwriting, and investment decisions while exploring careers in private credit, private equity, or investment banking.

About the Team

• AB Private Credit Investors manages more than $26 billion of capital for institutional and high-net-worth investors.
• The platform provides flexible capital solutions to private corporate borrowers across multiple industries.
• Investments include unitranche, first-lien and second-lien debt, private equity co-investments, and structured preferred stock.
• The team emphasizes fundamental due diligence, transaction terms, documentation, teamwork, and collaboration.

Responsibilities and Training

• Participate within investment teams in loan origination, underwriting, and investment decision-making processes.
• Develop corporate credit analysis, financial modeling, and valuation skills through an immersive finance-focused program.
• Gain transaction exposure and networking opportunities relevant to alternative investments and investment banking careers.

Requirements

• Be a bachelor’s degree candidate with demonstrated academic excellence.
• Analyze and assemble data thoughtfully while working comfortably in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Show good judgment, attention to detail, initiative, and a proactive approach.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and interest in private credit, private equity, or investment banking.
