About the role
The Technology & Operations Associate Program offers a rotational pathway in Investment Management Operations. Associates complete up to four six-month rotations, gain exposure across middle- and back-office functions, deliver critical projects, receive formal training and mentorship, and transition toward a permanent team based on business needs and career interests.
Role and Responsibilities
- Complete up to four six-month rotations within Investment Management Operations before joining a permanent team.
- Learn new skills and deliver projects critical to the team, department, and firm.
- Work with portfolio management, front-office teams, custodian banks, vendors, and regional operations groups.
- Present rotation outcomes to senior Operations and Technology leaders and discuss future career opportunities.
Functional Exposure
- Support derivative operations, including administrative processing for fixed-income, equity, and alternative investment vehicles.
- Manage client investment guidelines, monitor potential portfolio breaches, and support account administration and reconciliations.
- Provide private client administration and maintain reference data, including securities, pricing, corporate actions, and accounts.
- Support operational models for private credit products, including middle-market lending and residential or securitized mortgages.
- Develop operational risk indicators, strengthen controls, coordinate escalations, and support risk mitigation initiatives.
- Support complex alternative investment structures through automation, efficient processes, tools, and operational best practices.
Training and Development
- Receive formal technical and business training through an apprenticeship-based development model.
- Work with two mentors who provide transition support and career advice throughout the program.
- Participate in networking events, coffee chats, lunch-and-learn sessions, and meetings with senior leaders.
- Receive one-to-one career planning, development sessions, and potential tuition reimbursement for CFA, MBA, and other programs.
Requirements
- Expected December 2026 or May/June 2027 bachelor's degree, or MBA, in finance, economics, business administration, or related fields.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and strong academic performance.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, with authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in using AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, data quality, risk management, and decisions.
