About the role
AllianceBernstein’s Client Group Summer Internship offers exposure to business development, sales, client service, marketing, and product development within investment management. Interns analyze markets and products, create client materials, support relationship teams and events, and develop communication, analytical, networking, and problem-solving skills through training and mentoring.
Role and Team
- Work across Client Group teams, including Business Development, Sales and Client Service, Marketing, and Product Development.
- Collaborate with investment, sales, client service, product, and marketing professionals supporting clients and prospects.
- Build knowledge of AB’s mission, investment capabilities, products, services, procedures, and policies.
- Support the lifecycle of investment offerings, from market opportunities and solutions through distribution and client service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market, competitor, product, channel, or brand analysis and translate findings into practical insights.
- Develop client and sales content, including messaging, communications plans, presentations, launch materials, campaigns, and event materials.
- Assist with client and prospect needs, marketing activities, meeting preparation, and recurring or ad hoc requests.
- Maintain accurate client and opportunity information in CRM systems, including notes, contacts, relationships, and opportunity data.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and event logistics, including room bookings, materials, and facilities support.
- Suggest improvements that strengthen client engagement, team efficiency, content, experiences, and processes.
Training and Development
- Complete firmwide onboarding and receive ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Participate in mentoring, career planning, senior-leader sessions, networking, and social events.
- Receive an introduction to asset management and capital markets.
- Develop communication, networking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Be a Spring 2028 bachelor’s degree candidate in a relevant business, finance, analytical, creative, or communications field.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, written, verbal, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Be detail-oriented, organized, proactive, professional, intellectually curious, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Work independently while contributing collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; relevant experience from work, coursework, organizations, or volunteering is valued.
Program Requirements
- Work full-time from June through August 2027.
- Do not take academic classes or hold other employment conflicting with the internship schedule.
- Successfully complete a thorough background check.
- Candidates receiving full-time return offers should expect a July 2028 start date.
