Legal Intern

About the role

Summer Legal Intern in AllianceBernstein’s Legal and Compliance team, supporting attorneys in the Employment and International legal group. The role involves legal research, memoranda, litigation and pre-litigation support, document drafting, compliance initiatives, and exposure to Wealth Management matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
• Support pre-litigation and litigation matters, including e-discovery activities.
• Draft templates, policies, and other legal or compliance documents.
• Assist with firm-wide legal and compliance initiatives and projects.
• Support development of compliance policies and procedures using knowledge from regulatory initiatives and training efforts.

Team and Exposure

• Work with attorneys advising on employment law, benefits, immigration, data privacy, and international matters.
• Collaborate with legal, People Business Partners, operations, and compliance professionals.
• Attend meetings on new regulatory initiatives and participate in compliance-training efforts.
• Gain opportunities to assist AllianceBernstein’s Wealth Management group.
