About the role
Join Bernstein Private Wealth Management in Chicago as a summer intern supporting Financial Advisors serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Gain experience across portfolio analysis, account maintenance, client meeting preparation, asset allocation, capital markets positioning, and wealth planning through training, mentorship, coaching, networking, and practical business projects.
Responsibilities
- Support Financial Advisors with portfolio analysis, account creation and maintenance, and client or prospect meeting preparation.
- Assist with asset allocation recommendations, capital markets positioning, portfolio analytics, and wealth and legacy planning.
- Complete ad hoc business projects while maintaining a strong focus on client service and relationship building.
Program Experience
- Participate in client service excellence, partnership, and communication training focused on delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Receive career management support, mentorship, and one-on-one coaching throughout the internship program.
- Take part in networking opportunities and social outings.
- Successful interns may have opportunities to continue as full-time Private Wealth Associates after graduation.
Requirements
- Pursue a bachelor’s degree and graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate strong leadership experience.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, written, verbal communication, relationship-building, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
- Be client-focused, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and available to work full-time from June through August.
- Complete a thorough background check and avoid conflicting academic classes or employment during the internship.
