Private Wealth Summer Intern

About the role

Private Wealth Management summer internship in New York supporting Financial Advisors serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Interns contribute to portfolio analysis, account administration, meeting preparation, and wealth planning while receiving communication, career management, mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities. Strong candidates graduate December 2027–June 2028.

Responsibilities

• Support Financial Advisors with portfolio analysis, account creation and maintenance, and client meeting preparation.
• Assist with asset allocation recommendations, capital markets positioning, portfolio analytics, and wealth and legacy planning.
• Complete ad hoc business projects and provide client service support.
• Help deliver an exceptional client experience through effective partnership and communication.

Program Development

• Receive client service excellence, partnership, and communication training.
• Participate in career management, mentorship, and one-on-one coaching.
• Access networking opportunities and social outings.
• Successful interns may have an opportunity to continue as full-time Private Wealth Associates after graduation.

Requirements

• Pursue a bachelor’s degree and graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and strong leadership experience.
• Demonstrate analytical, written, verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Be client-focused, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and available full-time from June to August.
• Complete a background check and avoid conflicting academic classes or employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Relevant internship experience.
• Coursework in finance and economics.
• Security Industry Essentials certification.
