Portfolio Implementation Intern

About the role

Portfolio Implementation Intern supporting AllianceBernstein’s Private Wealth Portfolio Management Group in Nashville. The internship provides exposure to portfolio implementation, private wealth management, investment research, and financial services through process improvement projects, data analysis, portfolio strategy support, and collaboration with trading, operations, sales, and portfolio management teams.

Team

• Portfolio Management Group implements portfolio decisions and supports global portfolio management teams.
• Private Wealth PMG supports private client accounts and customized solutions, including tax-aware investing and wealth planning.
• The team coordinates with trading desks, operations, sales, and portfolio management professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support project-based initiatives involving process improvement and portfolio strategies.
• Perform data analysis and provide support across business activities.
• Partner with team members to advance group objectives.
• Interact and network with professionals throughout the firm.

Requirements

• May or June 2028 bachelor’s degree candidate in business, finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or liberal arts.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and demonstrated academic achievement.
• Interest in financial markets, industry regulations, portfolio management, and investment management.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, interpersonal, communication, teamwork, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, inquisitive, holistic, and able to challenge existing processes and solve problems.
• Must not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Program Requirements

• Available to work full-time from June through August.
• Cannot take academic classes or hold conflicting employment during the internship.
• Selected candidates must successfully complete a thorough background check.
• Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
