Investments Summer Intern

About the role

AllianceBernstein’s Investments Summer Internship places interns within an asset class while exposing them to research, trading, portfolio management, data science, technology, and responsible investing. Based in Nashville, interns contribute to meaningful projects, present their work to senior management, and may be invited to join the Investments Rotational Associate Program after graduation.

Role and Exposure

• Work within Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset and Hedge Fund Solutions, or Responsible Investing.
• Gain exposure to fundamental and quantitative research, trading, portfolio management, data science, and technology innovation.
• Asset class and role depend on intern interests, skills, company needs, and location-specific opportunities.
• Contribute to investment decision-making through research, technology, and data-driven analysis.

Example Projects

• Forecast cloud infrastructure, platform, and software spending growth for equity research.
• Analyze electric vehicle charging business models and assess investment opportunities.
• Underwrite credit quality and provide relative value recommendations to fixed-income portfolio managers.
• Build Python factor models, evaluate trading signals, and develop portfolio construction frameworks.
• Use AI to convert ESG information from company reports into actionable investment insights.

Program Experience

• Present project findings and lessons learned to Investments senior management at summer’s end.
• Successful interns may be invited to join the Investments Rotational Associate Program after graduation.
• Work full-time and in person from June through August in a collaborative investment environment.
• Internship provides exposure across AB’s investment businesses, including Responsible Investing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree candidates graduating between December 2027 and May or June 2028.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrated passion for investing.
• Strong quantitative, critical-thinking, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident able to work without current or future sponsorship.
• Must complete a background check and avoid conflicting academic classes or employment.
• Technical experience is not required, but candidates should be comfortable working with data.
