Junior Trader

About the role

Junior Trader in Akuna Capital’s London team, applying mathematics, statistics and programming to options market-making. Responsibilities include developing quantitative models, implementing trading signals, and identifying trading and risk opportunities. The role offers mentoring and training in derivatives, market making, systems, Options Greeks and Black–Scholes methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage trading strategies and improve profitability by translating ideas into quantitative models.
• Implement trading signals that contribute to portfolio construction.
• Develop a deep understanding of derivatives theory and financial markets.
• Generate ideas involving trading opportunities, product insights, risk management and trading systems.

Candidate Profile

• Creative, analytical and entrepreneurial thinkers who can process complex information accurately under pressure.
• Financial experience or studies are not required; mathematics and coding skills are prioritised.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Level and title will be determined after the interview process.
