About the role
Akuna Capital offers a 10-week summer internship for Full Stack Web Software Engineers to develop real-time trading applications. Interns collaborate with traders and engineers, own projects, and present their work, gaining experience in React, TypeScript, and Python.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop web applications using React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Implement robust unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
- Continuously evaluate and implement technologies to enhance user experience and development efficiency.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development and shadow application support processes.
- Take full ownership of assigned projects and present accomplishments at program end.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Graduating by August 2028 with a major GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on the first day, including F-1 students using OPT or STEM.
- Understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, HTML/CSS web programming languages.
- Familiarity with Linux, command-line shell, unit testing frameworks, and version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication skills, and ability to work independently and in teams.

- Minimum annualized base salary starts at $145,000, varying by experience and qualifications.
