Junior Trader
Akuna Capital seeks Junior Traders to learn market making using proprietary technology. Candidates will join a fast-paced, collaborative trading team in Chicago, applying quantitative skills to impact firm performance.

Role and Responsibilities
- Learn to make markets using proprietary low latency technology and trading strategies.
- Apply quantitative and mathematical skills to trading screens and firm performance.
- Start on teams such as Options Market Making, Delta One, Vol Arb, Crypto, or Quantitative Strategy.
- React quickly and accurately to changing market conditions and solve math/coding problems.
- Communicate effectively and foster professional relationships in a team environment.

Candidate Requirements
- Completed BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong math aptitude and quantitative analysis skills.
- Effective communication and ability to build external professional relationships.
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with competitive drive and desire to learn financial markets.
- Programming experience preferred; major GPA 3.5 or above.

Program Details
- Next available start date is August 2027.
- Minimum base salary starts at $145,000, with discretionary performance bonus.
